That's for the offical facts .

Opole is a nice middle-sized town with many parks, a charming old town with many hictoric buildings and various pleasant pubs and cafes.

It is ideal for learning polish, because tourism is not the main business, as it is for example in Cracow. So it necessary to apply your Polish as not all menus or signs are in English.

In it sourroundings there are still ancient castles with impressing parks to be found.

Not far away the romantic mountain range of the Sudetes stretch.

Further photos from Opole and Wrocław, Kraków (Crakow), Oświęcim (Auschwitz), World Heritage Salt Mine Wieliczka, the Sudetes, Castles Kamień Śląski and Moszna, Open air museum Bierkowice, Power station Opole) can be found at website of course 2004 or links.
